Rodney Morehead, homeless

John and Char met a man they call “Tool” yesterday, He suggested a carpentry class for the homeless. The members of the community could start by building their own workbench in a highly visible area outside. They could then move on to make things like planter boxes and bird houses that could be sold. The hope is that more and more people would want to join as they saw each other working. The first steps would be to get permission for people to work outside and to create a drive for donated materials and tools.

John and Char talked to someone named Christine about the creative writing project. Can we still get her contact information?

Char talking to Alexis at Media One about having donated newspapers delivered for the homeless community. So far, she has taken addresses and seems willing to help. We could have the Deseret News and/or the Tribune.

Safety flags: Char to talk to Michael Berry about buckets and flashing signs for the intersection of 200 South and Rio Grande. We already have the flags.

Pioneer Park Coalition meeting tomorrow from 8:30 – 10:30am at the county building on 2100 south and State Street. North building on the 2nd floor in N2-800. Jonathan Harmon represents Scott Howell at the coalition.

Dr. John interviewed yesterday for telivision program. It will be good to get our name out there to help the people. Many people are reluctant to have the spotlight on them for fear of retaliation, rejection and/or embarrassment. It is important that everyone in the community has a chance to shine since everyone wants to “matter”, as well they should.

Open discussion with Rodney about God and how He working through all of us. We are all fortunate to have the chance to make a difference. We are not the ones who decide what ultimately happens but we can each influence others to do the right thing.Type your paragraph here.
